MLN Statutes Update!

Update July 5 2022

The original MLN Statues were created in the late 1970s, which was before the time of electronic word processing.

Therefore, the committee needed the original hand-typed Spanish MLN Statutes re-typed into Microsoft Word format.

This would allow us to have an electronic format of the original statutes.

This has now been completed.
The Next steps are;

  1. We will now translate the new electronic version of the original Spanish MLN statutes into English in Microsoft Word.
  2. We will then duplicate the electronic version of the statutes and make suggested changes to bring the Statutes up to date with the modern world.
  3. The amended statutes will then be passed to the MLN residents for feedback and comment.
  4. Once the review process is over, the amended statutes will be passed to a legal advisor for checking.
  5. The final step will be for residents to vote upon the modified statutes at the next AGM.

Original Text

The Statutes for MLN are the rules of MLN (unless overridden by Spanish Horizontal law).

Those statutes govern the Urbanisation under the guidance of the elected committee. These are the rules that the owners have agreed to abide by.

These Statutes were written at the beginning of MLN's inception and now need modifying and bringing up to date. The statutes are critically essential to us all.

We plan to re-draft the Statutes based on the current version in the coming months and modify them to be relevant to this day and age.

Once that process is complete, we will present the Statutes to the residents for feedback. The aim is to agree on the updated Statutes at the next AGM in 2023.
