See below some of the work completed by the MLN maintenance team during August 2022.
Note: we continuously add more updates during the month, with the latest updates at the top of the page.

After a significant water leak was detected at the start of Av, Rubi, the maintenance team, worked from 7:30 am until 10 pm trying to find the broken pipe, make a plan, and repair it ASAP to minimise the water outage for all MLN residents under Av. Rubi. We are extremely grateful for the hard work and dedication of the maintenance team.

One owner kindly sent the following;

The guys have just left now ..have worked all day long since around 7.30 am without a proper break ( Pepito brought sandwiches to them ), and they couldn’t have been nicer, kinder, and always upbeat and smiling ..they have been fantastic! And we all have water again! MLN is lucky to have such a great team working for it! I know you already know this, but I just wanted to let you and them know how much they are appreciated

The pictures below show the different stages of repairing the pipe with the red circle was the source of the problem; however, the team had to replace a large amount of pipe under the road without digging it all up, which would have resulted in a road closure.

During August, the maintenance team had to deal with many blocked drains around MLN. Most cases are related to "unsuitable objects" being flushed down toilets. Frequently (but not in all cases), this co-insides with properties rented out to tourists. The blocks often cause issues for other households accessing the same pipe. Please can owners ensure these objects are not flushed!

The maintenance team continue to clear "Scrub land" areas around MLN to reduce fire risks & improve appearance.

A light was damaged and just left until a neighbour reported this. The maintenance team has since repaired it. We are unsure if this was done by accident or vandalism.

The maintenance team did a fantastic job re-fencing the open area up the stairs behind the maintenance hut. We believe this was a considerable security risk. We will now add CCTV warning signs on the other side of the fence. We can monitor the fence for signs of interference and further tighten security if required. Isaac and the team did a fantastic job with no outside help to erect this fencing.

A much-needed new Garden Basura was built, rendered & painted by the maintenance team

Some before and after shots after some major weeding in this area!

New automatic irrigation timers are being installed around MLN.
